jenRAK© is the first and only integrated onboard generator system designed exclusively for your Airstream travel trailer. Fueled by clean renewable propane and built around the most advanced inverter technology from CUMMINSONAN.

Designed to be minimally invasive and removable from the coach by utilizing the existing spare tire carrier mounting points and only requires drilling of two 9/16″ holes through the forward a-frame crossmember channel for integration into the chassis (located directly behind the battery box).

The kit has been engineered to reinforce the frame crossmembers it mounts to. The carrier is laser cut from 3 pieces of 3/16” HRPO steel and incorporates alignment features similar to those of LEGO blocks. Once formed, the parts are snapped into place then welded together at these features to create a reinforced structure which is able to protect the generator and belly pan/holding tanks from road debris. The front area is formed to cradle the forward chassis cross member it mounts to — this interface helps in distributing load across the beam and strengthening the frame in that area in a symbiotic manner. Once installed, jenRAK© forms a structural tie between the fore and aft cross channels and distributes the weight of the assembly out toward the main frame rails. A positive net effect of this is dramatically reduced subfloor flex and bounce inside of the coach – our system actually makes the subfloor more solid by reducing flex and bounce.

IMPORTANT:

THIS SYSTEM IS DESIGNED FOR INSTALLATION ON CONTEMPORARY AIRSTREAM TRAVEL TRAILERS 23 FEET AND LONGER. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS SYSTEM ON A 16, 19, 20, OR 22 FOOT MODEL – THE FRAME STRUCTURE, RIDE CHARACTERISTICS, AND GROUND CLEARANCE OF THESE MODELS WILL NOT SUPPORT THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SYSTEM.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:

THIS ASSEMBLY REDUCES GROUND CLEARANCE ON THE FRONT OF THE COACH BY APPROXIMATELY 1 – 2 INCHES DEPENDING ON VARIATIONS BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL COACH MODELS.

A LIFT KIT IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN ADEQUATE GROUND CLEARANCE.

Once a lift kit has been installed, the coach will gain an additional 1.00”-1.75” of additional ground clearance post system installation.

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE INCLUDED IN THE KIT:

STRUCTURAL CARRIER CHASSIS, ALL REQUIRED MOUNTING HARDWARE, CUMMINSONAN EXHAUST HANGER.

NOW ALSO INCLUDES FULLY WELDED 1-1/4” STAINLESS STEEL MANDREL FORMED EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED RESONATOR AND CUMMINSONAN MARMAN CLAMP ELBOW COUPLER.

REQUIRED PARTS NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT:

CUMMINSONAN QG 2500i LP GENERATOR (2.5HGLAA-8304A), TRANSFER SWITCH, FLEX CONDUIT, JUNCTION BOX AND RELATED COMPONENTS, AC WIRING (if necessary), CUMMINSONAN CONTROL PANEL (300-5332), CUMMINSONAN CONTROL PANEL WIRING HARNESS (0338-3489-01), 12 VOLT BATTERY STARTER CABLES, LP HOSE ADAPTER FITTINGS (required fittings vary by coach).
