Description

nLET© is an alternative solution to the failure-prone plastic factory equipped city water inlet installed on all contemporary Airstream coaches.

Formed from durable cast 304 stainless steel construction with a polished surface finish.

Assembly includes mounting manifold, stainless quick connect ‏hose coupler attachment, directional check valve, inlet cap, and mounting gasket.

General dimensions and mounting configuration are nearly identical to the existing oem supplied part and does not require any additional adjustment or modification for installation (assembly is about 3/4″ deeper than the OEM part, potentially causing interference with certain coach cabinet configurations – though this situation appears to be rare).

IMPORTANT

This assembly does not contain an integrated/internal water pressure regulator — a component that routinely fails and causes water damage within the walls and subfloor of affected coaches. 

When developing a solution to the problems associated with the factory supplied inlet, we came to the conclusion that the best place to locate a pressure regulator is outside of the coach where any leaking/failure of the diaphragm is visible and isolated from concealed areas susceptible to water damage.

nLET© requires the use of an external inline water pressure regulator on the supply hose to protect your plumbing system from excessive water pressure.

General Material Safety Data:

Materials used in this assembly are safe for food and potable drinking water contact applications and meet the requirements of FDA, ANSI, and NSF standards. These standards, including FDA regulations, EU Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, and NSF/ANSI 51 certification, recognize 304 stainless steel as a food-grade material due to its minimum chromium content and other properties that make it suitable for direct contact with food and drinking water. 

California Proposition 65:

304 stainless steel contains some elements listed under California Proposition 65. However, since the material is in a solid, processed form, it typically does not inherently require a Prop 65 warning in California. While it does contain nickel and chromium (the form of hexavalent chromium is not found in stainless steel in measurable quantities), the concentrations and forms present in 304 stainless steel are generally considered not to pose a significant risk under normal conditions of use.

Assembly Compound(s):

Henkel compound 577 (an engineering thread sealing/compound adhesive) is utilized in this product assembly for bonding and sealing of all permanent threaded connections and is WRAS-approved.

The WRAS conformance mark confirms the product complies with the highest standards set out by UK water regulations.

Adhesives used in the construction, installation, renewal, repair or replacement of any water fitting that conveys water to the public, either domestically or commercially, must comply with strict performance rules. Failure to check can lead to potentially disastrous consequences in terms of health, cost and brand reputation.

WRAS approval provides the assurance that the Henkel adhesive will not contaminate water used for drinking, bathing, washing or cooking. And the range includes all the key Henkel applications – thread locking, thread sealing, gasketing, instant bonding and retaining – and several products from the brand’s Health and Safety series.
